Arizona State University and Leuphana University in Lüneburg, Germany, have been longtime partners in innovative research projects. With the creation of the Center for Global Sustainability and Cultural Transformation, ASU and Leuphana expand their shared focus to include inter- and transdisciplinary projects in teaching and research with an emphasis on transforming society, fusing intellectual disciplines and engaging globally.
As part of this international effort in sustainability sciences, ASU and Leuphana are also partnered with nine universities who've launched the International Network for Programs in Transformation Sustainability, designed to advance joint research projects, training and learning opportunities, globally.
Already underway are a dual masters degree in global sustainability sciences and the "Global Classroom," which integrates online and hands-on experience, offering students the tools to pursue studies of urban systems and sustainability challenges in international settings.
