ASU's School of Mathematics and Statistical Sciences offers quality instruction that leads to bachelors, masters and doctoral degrees in applied mathematics, theoretical mathematics, mathematics education and statistics, and is at the top n the nation for doctorates awarded to graduates from underrepresented groups.
Our faculty studies intersect with researchers in many other disciplines to forge collaborations in the life sciences, medicine and health, geoscience, atmospheric science, computer science and engineering. With programs and the dedicated faculty who run them, our school is one of the most exciting places in the country to study the mathematical and statistical sciences.
We also offer a wide array of supplemental instructional services through the Math Community Center, resources and degrees for teachers, and tutoring, mentoring and after-school programs for children. There are numerous opportunities for undergraduates and graduate students to be immersed in research.
The ASU actuarial sciences program is one of our newest offerings and one of the few programs offered in the West.
