New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences
The New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and Sciences combines a small-college experience on ASU's West campus with the benefits of a top-tier research endeavor. In addition to a wide range of studies with faculty members in the School of Humanities Arts and Cultural Studies, the School of Mathematical and Natural Sciences, and the School of Social and Behavioral Sciences, New College houses the Office of Interdisciplinary Global Learning and Engagement (IGLE). The office works to introduce students to global exploration, study and travel in order to prepare them to be culturally, politically, and socially adept in our rapidly changing world economy. Break-away and interdisciplinary internship programs are supported in international cities and with companies around the world. Partner universities include: University of Dublin, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology and University of Cape Coast in Ghana, and Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, among others.
Faculty member's studies range worldwide, from soil communities in the Antarctic Peninsula impacted by climate to research on African Diasporan archetypes in Ghana.
